Overview
As a four-year BPA member and three-year officer (Historian, Secretary, Treasurer), I qualified for nationals five times presenting on AI, gig economies, and entrepreneurship. Reporting and Writing
I researched and developed competitive presentations on AI, gig economies, and entrepreneurship, synthesizing complex business concepts into structured, persuasive scripts.
Editing, Leadership
and Team Building
Serving as Historian, Secretary, and Treasurer, I managed documentation, communication, budgeting, and officer coordination while supporting team preparation for state and national competitions.
design
In Visual Design Team, I contributed branding strategy, layout development, and visual cohesion, earning 4th in the state and qualifying for nationals.
broadcast journalism
I helped record, edit, and create short-form video content for the instagram.
photojournalism
As Historian, I documented meetings and competitions, capturing milestones and preserving club history through event photography.
web and social media
I supported promotional and informational communication for BPA activities, helping maintain consistent outreach to members.
Law, Ethics and News
Literacy
Competing in business-focused events required understanding ethical entrepreneurship, responsible AI application, and professional communication standards.
Marketing and
Audience Engagement
I helped lead fundraising efforts that generated over $2,000, like Pine View Fair booths, PDQ drives, and other initiatives strengthening the club’s financial stability and competition access.
Commitment to
Diversity
Through team events and officer leadership, I collaborated with students across grade levels and professional interests, fostering inclusive participation in competitive business environments.

personal growth
BPA pushed me outside the newsroom and into professional environments where preparation meets pressure. Competing in interview, design, and presentation events taught me how to think quickly, speak clearly, and trust my preparation. Communication skills translate far beyond journalism.
